The Final Series begins…
With the final WGC event of the season completed, the European Tour heads to Turkey for the final three Rolex Series events that will conclude in Dubai in just over a fortnight’s time. A number of high-profile players skipped last year’s trip to Turkey, due to the unrest in the region, but with things a little more settled now the upper echelons of the Race To Dubai are there to fight for their positions and the lucrative prize pots on offer (£17m is up for grabs in these last three tournaments). The Top 60 in the race, remember, after next week’s Nedbank Golf Challenge, will compete at the DP World Championship in Dubai to decide the winner.
In Turkey Callaway’s Nicolas Colsaerts leads the tournament after the 2nd round on -14, Kiradech Aphibarnrat is 3rd on -9 and Thomas Pieters is in 9th at -6.
Odyssey leads the putter count in Turkey at 38.5% (we’ve officially lost count as to how many weeks in a row this is now, but it’s a lot), off the back of multiple wins across various Tours last weekend.
Over on the PGA Tour it’s the week of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, a tournament which Callaway Staffer Jim Furyk has won twice.
