Here are the biggest Callaway equipment notes this week, including Dylan Fritelli’s WITB and Odyssey’s continued success across the major worldwide Tours:

Dylan Frittelli WITB – John Deere Classic

Here’s what Callaway staffer Dylan Frittelli has in the bag this week at the John Deere Classic:

  • Epic Flash Sub Zero Driver (10.5*) – Mitsubishi Tensei White TX Shaft
  • Epic Flash Sub Zero Fairway Wood (15*) – Tour AD DI Shaft
  • Rogue Sub Zero Fairway Wood (18*) – Mitsubishi White TX Shaft
  • X-Forged UT (3-iron) – KBS Shaft
  • X-Forged 18 Irons (5-PW) – Nippon Modus 3 105 Shafts
  • Mack Daddy 4 Wedge (52*) – Nippon Modus 3 105 X Shaft
  • Titleist Wedges (56*, 60*) – Nippon Modus 3 105 X Shaft
  • Odyssey EXO Stroke Lab 2-Ball Putter
  • A Chrome Soft X Triple Track Golf Ball

Dylan is currently averaging over 310 yards per drive this week with his Epic Flash Sub Zero Driver, and he’s 8th in the field in driving accuracy for the event. His gamer features our innovative Flash Face Technology, created using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, to create higher ball speeds across the face. Our Epic Flash models have helped Callaway become the #1 driver brand across the major worldwide Tours, and the #1 brand in worldwide driver wins this year too.

He’s having a tremendous week on the greens and is currently 2nd in the field in Strokes Gained – Putting with his Odyssey EXO Stroke Lab 2-Ball Putter. His putter is designed to promote maximum forgiveness from a premium multi-material construction. With the lightweight 6061 milled aluminum exo-cage, we are able to concentrate weight, driving up the MOI significantly for more consistent ball speeds and directional control.

It also includes our revolutionary multi-material Stroke Lab Shaft for innovative weight distribution. It saves weight that’s relocated into each end of the putter to dramatically change performance dynamics to promote a smoother and more accurate stroke. Our Stroke Lab shaft continues to be an incredibly popular choice across the major worldwide Tours in our Stroke Lab, EXO and Odyssey Toulon models, and it’s helped Odyssey strengthen its position as the #1 Putter in worldwide usage and worldwide wins.

Adding to Fritelli’s success on the greens, his Chrome Soft X Golf Ball features our Triple Track Technology for advanced alignment. We’ve prominently featured Triple Track lines on the ball for improved putting accuracy. Triple Track uses Vernier Hyper Acuity to improve alignment compared to a regular side stamp. This is the same golf ball model that Phil Mickelson is using on Tour, and that he trusted to win at Pebble Beach earlier this year, and Dylan likes how easy it is to line up his putts with it.

Odyssey Still Perfect In Major Putter Counts

Odyssey has won the putter count at every major this year on the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours and we added another putter count win this week at the Senior Players Championship. In fact, Odyssey led the field with 35 putters in play (44.9%) of the field, and no other putter brand had more than 12 putters in the field! And most of these players at the major are non-staffers who choose to play Odyssey simply based on performance.

Odyssey Is The Most Player Putter On Every Major Tour This Week

The #1 Putter in Golf is also the most played putter on every major worldwide Tour this week, including the John Deere Classic, Senior Players Championship, Scottish Open, and the Marathon Classic. This continued success is led in part by popularity for Stroke Lab and an Odyssey putter has now been put in play over 6,000 times across the major worldwide Tours this year.

Retief Goosen WITB – Senior Players Championship

Here’s what Callaway staffer Retief Goosen has in the bag this week as he looks to win the Senior Players Championship:

  • Epic Flash Fairway Wood (15*) – Mitsubishi Shaft

Retief joined Callaway as a staffer at the beginning of 2019 and he has played an Epic Flash Driver model throughout the year. He’s currently 2nd in the field in driving distance averaging 294.6 yards per drive.

His gamer putter has a Stroke Lab shaft to help promote better tempo and more consistency in his stroke.
