Staffer Marc Warren uses new MAVRIK Fairway Wood and Chrome Soft X Golf Ball, featuring Triple Track Technology, to win his fourth European Tour title
(Chessington, UK – July 13, 2020) Staff Professional Marc Warren wasted no time reacquainting himself with his Callaway and Odyssey equipment after the four-month coronavirus pandemic break, winning the Austrian Open, the first event of the restarted European Tour season.
Beginning the final day with a share of the lead, the 39-year-old Scot claimed his fourth European Tour title by carding a two-under-par 70 final round at Diamond Country Club near Vienna, adding to rounds of 66, 69 and 70, for a one-shot victory.
Earning his full playing rights on the European Tour for all of this season and next, Marc relied on a full bag of Callaway and Odyssey hardware, including a 15° MAVRIK Fairway Wood, three JAWS Mack Daddy 5 Wedges (50°, 54°, 58°), and a Chrome Soft X 2020 Golf Ball.
His ball featured Callaway’s innovative Triple Track Technology which helps to improve your alignment for better putting accuracy. It’s a popular technology on Tour, and last year, Phil Mickelson and South African, Dylan Frittelli, won on the PGA Tour using Triple Track in their golf balls.
Marc’s MAVRIK Fairway Wood features a unique, A.I.-designed Flash Face to work specifically with the size, shape and CG location of the head, promoting optimum speed and spin. This is the first Callaway fairway wood with a face fully optimised by A.I.
After Austrian victory, Marc commented: “It’s massive. Going from a few hours ago I didn’t have full status, now to be in a winner’s category and plan the year a little bit is good. I just need to keep doing what I’m doing, trying to hit one shape all the time.”
