(Chessington, UK – June 21, 2021) Jon Rahm captured his maiden major title in Epic fashion on Sunday, winning the US Open at Torrey Pines to reclaim the spot of World No.1.

When the Spaniard became a #TeamCallaway player earlier this year, Rahm said one of the reasons he joined our brand was “to win majors” and he’s wasted no time in doing so.

After lifting the US Open trophy, Rahm paid tribute to his Callaway equipment, saying: “The new ball and the new irons allow me to hit certain shots that I simply wasn’t capable of before and it showed.

“I need to say a huge thank you to the team at Callaway.”

Rahm shot a 4-under par final round on Sunday and made two incredible birdie putts at 17 and 18 using his Odyssey White Hot OG Rossie S putter, which eventually led to a 1-shot victory.

Take a look at Rahm’s winning bag at the US Open below.

What’s in the Bag – Jon Rahm
Driver: Epic Speed Triple Diamond LS (10.5°), Aldila Tour Green 75 TX Shaft
Fairway Woods: Callaway Epic Speed Sub Zero Triple Diamond T (14° & 18°), Aldila Tour Green 75 TX Shaft (3 wood); Graphite Design Tour AD DI (5 wood)
Irons: Callaway Apex TCB (4-PW), Project X 6.5
Wedges: Callaway Jaws Forged (52°, 56°, 60°), Project X 6.5
Putter: Odyssey White Hot OG Rossie S
Ball: Callaway Chrome Soft X

His Driver: Rahm has had the Epic Speed Driver in the bag since he joined Callaway in January. His gamer is 45 ¼” with 1” tipping and he drove the ball exceptionally well throughout the tournament at Torrey Pines. Epic Drivers have now won seven times on TOUR this year, with the last two male major champions gaming the driver, with Rahm following Phil Mickelson’s historic win at the PGA Championship.

His Golf Ball: Rahm plays the Chrome Soft X Ball, and he says that in addition to the ball speeds he gets with the driver, it gives him an advantage with superior control from 150 yards and in. This is our #1 Ball on TOUR, and it’s been on a serious winning streak, with Mickelson using Chrome Soft X Triple Track at the PGA Championship before Rahm’s victory at Torrey Pines.

His Putter: Rahm has an Odyssey White Hot OG Rossie S Putter in the bag which he first used at The Memorial. Our Odyssey Tour Rep, Joe Toulon provided in depth details about the big putter switch a few weeks ago on Twitter. In particular, Rahm’s new gamer allows him to improve the takeaway so that he can be more aggressive and it certainly worked at the US Open, with two incredible birdie putts made on the last two holes.

Rahm was dressed in TravisMathew apparel throughout his week at the US Open and it feels the perfect time to remind everyone that the new TravisMathew website went live on Friday, which you can take a look at here.

After becoming the first Spaniard to win the US Open, Rahm dedicated his victory to his idol, Seve Ballesteros.

Rahm now has 13 professional victories, with both his first PGA Tour win and maiden major being won at Torrey Pines, a venue that Rahm holds close to his heart.

From everyone here at #TeamCallaway, felicidades Jon!

We’d also like to take the opportunity to say a huge congratulations to #TeamCallaway Staff player Guido Migliozzi, who finished in a tie for 4th alongside two major champions.

The US Open was Migliozzi’s first major championship and the Italian earned his spot at the tournament through the European Tour’s qualifying series.
